Young Master’s Kung Fu does not tolerate using the skills learned during classes to bully or intimidate others.

Bullying comes in different forms, all of which can hurt and affect the person being bullied for the rest of their lives. Bullies themselves have issues, but trying to gain power and control and put fear or ostricise others is not how they should be dealing with them.

It is reported that about 1/5 of school aged children experience verbal, social or physical bullying (and half experience cyberbullying).  What to do about it?

There is no real quick fix, but there are things you can do to help minimise being picked on, and ways to defend yourself if the worse comes to the worst; plus being confident in who you are can help minimise the bully’s affect on you.

At Young Master’s Kung Fu we will discuss the topic of bullying from time to time. However, if you are concerned about bullying and want to discuss it, then please talk to me.  All conversations are in confidence.  Alternatively, for advice and support, you can contact the National Bullying Helpline, 0845 2255787 / nationalbullyinghelpline.co.uk .
